President Donald Trump has arrived at the World Cup final in East Rutherford.
The president departed his Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster on July 19 via the Marine One helicopter for the journey to the Meadowlands.
Trump and First Lady Melania Trump are in a luxury box with FIFA President Gianni Infantino at MetLife Stadium, being called New York/New Jersey Stadium. Also, in the booth are Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum, Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney and Spain’s Queen Letizia.
Trump will present the trophy to the winners of the Argentina and Spain game.
Before the match, Trump didn’t want to make a prediction for the match, but told Fox in an interview: “It’s very hard to bet against Messi.”
Fans were greeted by long lines and increased security to get inside the stadium for the game.
