On Friday, Taylor Swift took a flight to London following her Eras Tour shows in Madrid to see her friend Cara Delevingne in Cabaret on the West End at the KitKatClub. Delevingne plays club singer Sally Bowles, who was portrayed by Liza Minnelli in 1972’s Cabaret. Swift’s appearance was confirmed by the head of marketing for the venue, Arthur Jones, who responded to a fan asking on X, formerly known as Twitter, “Taylor Swift?? Was supporting Cara Delevingne?? At Cabaret?? TONIGHT??!!”
Swift and the model have been friends for many years. Delevingne even made an appearance in her iconic “Bad Blood” video. The Tortured Poets Department singer has a busy schedule now while she has been touring Europe this past month. Her next show is in Lyon, France, at Groupama Stadium. From there, she’s heading to Edinburg, Scotland, and Liverpool, England.
Swift has been joined by friends and her boyfriend Travis Kelce throughout her tours. Kelce and friends Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper were at her concert in Nanterre, France, in May. And while in Madrid, she was joined by friends Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds.
In April, Delevingne told Harper’s Bazaar of her musical theater foray, “I didn’t know that I could play Sally, let alone wanted to, until the opportunity arose.”
“In theater, more than movies, I have found myself more drawn to tenacious but very flawed characters,” she continued. “I feel I can put all my pain and fear into the performance. There are so many layers to her. She is extremely powerful, but my God, is she broken and vulnerable. She’s a child—a little girl, and that is the saddest part of it all. I definitely [recognize] myself in that.”
She added, “I have never learnt so much, or grown so much. I am taking away so many incredible, valuable things that you cannot get, or even pay for, by doing this job.”
