Travis Kelce’s $5.35M Dream Estate Hits Another Roadblock as Neighbors Push Back Against His Landscaping Plans...

Travis Kelce’s $5.35 million Ohio mansion has become the centre of a growing neighborhood dispute, with concerns about privacy, property boundaries and the look of the lakefront estate complicating his plans. The Kansas City Chiefs star has faced fresh resistance from residents in Bratenahl, where local officials have approved parts of the proposed landscaping but rejected other elements. Despite efforts to address objections, the project remains unfinished, forcing Kelce’s team to revisit its plans as tensions with longtime neighbors continue to simmer.

The dispute surrounding Travis Kelce’s luxury property has taken another turn after a village review board declined to approve trees proposed along the shoreline. Officials also placed conditions on parts of the front landscaping, leaving the project with more work to complete before the estate’s outdoor plans can move forward.

Kelce’s property in Bratenahl, near Cleveland, spans approximately 21,000 square feet and includes eight bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a guest cottage, a swimming pool and a converted ballroom and game room. The scale of the estate has brought added attention to plans for privacy and landscaping in the established lakeside community.

The proposed six-foot aluminum fence has also drawn objections. Residents raised concerns about its appearance, its potential effect on wildlife and whether it would provide meaningful protection from unwanted attention. One neighbor warned that deer could become trapped on the fence’s pointed tops.

The review process has highlighted the challenge of balancing a high-profile homeowner’s security needs with local rules designed to protect lake views, neighborhood character and property values.

Sewer infrastructure remains one of the concerns raised by neighboring residents, but it is not the only issue holding up the project.
