Travis Kelce Reportedly Flew Straight From Chiefs Minicamp To New York City To Support Taylor Swift At Her Songwriters Hall Of Fame Induction, And Fans Are Loving The Sweet Gesture Behind The Surprise Appearance…
Travis Kelce left the Kansas City Chiefs minicamp early to support fiancée Taylor Swift at her Songwriters Hall of Fame induction in New York City on Thursday, June 11.
Kelce, 36, arrived just in time to cheer on Swift, also 36, as she sat beside her mother Andrea Swift and his mother Donna Kelce at the event held at the Marriott Marquis Hotel.
The Chiefs tight end was required to attend the team’s minicamp program, which wrapped up earlier on Thursday. The three-day program coincided with Game 4 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday, June 10, which was why Kelce couldn’t watch the New York Knicks’ epic comeback victory against the San Antonio Spurs courtside with Swift and her friends.
After the game, Kelce went on an Instagram liking spree of photos featuring Swift at Madison Square Garden.
The 14-time Grammy winner is being inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame alongside Walter Afanasieff, Terry Britten and Graham Lyle, Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons of KISS, Kenny Loggins, Alanis Morissette and Christopher “Tricky” Stewart in this year’s ceremony.
Swift will make history as the youngest-ever woman to receive the honor. Stevie Wonder holds the record as the youngest inductee ever, as he was 32 at the time of his induction in 1983, according to the Songwriters Hall of Fame website.
The “Cruel Summer” hitmaker submitted “All Too Well (10 Minute Version),” “Blank Space,” “Anti-Hero,” “Love Story” and “The Last Great American Dynasty” for consideration in this year’s Songwriters Hall of Fame.
