Taylor Swift’s Wedding Bouquet Was Caught by Chiefs Player Trey Smith’s Sister: See the Flowers!
Taylor Swift tossed her wedding flowers into the hands of one lucky guest.
The pop superstar and Travis Kelce, both 36, tied the knot in front of family and friends at New York’s Madison Square Garden on Friday, July 3. Among the attendees were several Kansas City Chiefs players, including offensive lineman Trey Smith.
The NFL star’s plus one was his older sister, Ashley Smith, who later revealed on Instagram that she caught Swift’s bouquet.
Celebrated an Enchanting Love S(T&T)ory 🤍✨🤍 And somehow…I ended up catching Tay Tay’s bouquet. 💐,” Ashley captioned several photos from the event, adding, “So here’s to believing it’s bringing a lifetime of love, luck, and laughter my way. ☺️”
“Congratulations, Taylor & Travis! Cheers to forever T&T! 🤍🥂🤍,” she concluded.
Ashley shared two photos of herself holding part of the bouquet, which appeared to include pale pink flowers, Sweet Pea and Queen Anne’s Lace. Florist Whole Blossoms suggests that Queen Anne’s Lace represents “sanctuary and protection” in a marital relationship, while Sweet Pea is a symbol of “beauty and joy.”
Ashley, who wore an embellished black dress with heeled sandals styled by Cydnee Kinslow, did not reveal who among the 1,000-person guest list she had to go against to catch the bouquet.
She shared a snap of herself holding the flowers in a mirror selfie and another lying in bed with the bouquet in her hand. Her Instagram post also included an embroidered napkin keepsake from the nuptials and a photo of her standing alongside Trey, 27.
The custom lace-edged napkin featured the lyrics “So it’s gonna be forever” from Swift’s 2014 track “Blank Space,’ along with the date and location of their nuptials and the couple’s intertwined “T” monogram.
