Prince Harry has been slammed by one royal expert for “wasting Britain’s money” as his desired security level is questioned.

The Duke of Sussex was dealt a massive blow on Wednesday as he lost his legal battle for tax-payer-funded security protection in the UK.

The former working royal is now said to be seeking to appeal the ruling.

Speaking to Times Radio about Harry’s court case, royal expert Angela Levin said: “I think it’s absolutely shocking that he’s trying again and again and again and wasting his own money but also our money because we’re paying for our side of it.

“It’s people’s tax money that’s used to pay for these court cases.”

Stating that he has a “wrong view of life”, Ms Levin added: “If he stood down from being a member of the Royal Family, he can’t have all of the things that they have.

“The royals are absolutely right, if he comes over for anything to do with the royals or to see his father or to see his brother [then] he gets full protection.

“But it is us who is paying for that protection and this is also police who are on the streets and if we lose them, he has them, and other people who own companies could actually ask for the same, they’ll be the same level as him.”

Although there was no confirmation about exactly when he would use the security, she added: “That would cause an absolute disaster for this country and the amount of money we would have to spend when Harry would perhaps use it for his social life with his wife, [with] his children or just with his friends.”

Following the latest decision, a 52-page document revealed Harry was “furious” at the outcome as he demanded to know the identity of the person ultimately behind the decision.

Harry is said to have said: “I would like that person’s name.” Referencing the decision of the ruling.

A statement was previously read out on behalf of Prince Harry.

It said: “The UK is my home. The UK is central to the heritage of my children and a place I want them to feel at home as much as where they live at the moment in the United States.
