Although the big day is coming fairly soon, conflicting reports about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s wedding ceremony are swirling online. The US Sun reported several months ago that Swift transformed her $17 million home in Rhode Island into a venue for her wedding.
Apparently, that’s something she’s been wanting to do for a while. “She wants the entire celebration to feel like a wave of flowers, with arrangements of white, purple, and pink orchids, plus blue, white, and pink hydrangeas, and peonies in pink, white, and red tones,” the report states. “Taylor dreams of being fully surrounded by flowers, with lush floral bushes everywhere, making her teenage dream of marrying in a sea of flowers come true.
In a surprising turn of events, Kelce and Swift won’t be getting married in Rhode Island. And despite all the reports stating they’ll tie the knot in June, the ceremony won’t happen until July.
According to The Cut, the save-the-date cards for Kelce and Swift’s wedding indicates their ceremony will take place on July 3 in New York City..
While a New York City wedding for a woman who’s constantly swarmed by hordes of fans may sound like a logistical nightmare to you and me, it actually might make sense for Swift and Kelce,” Julia Reinstein of The Cut wrote. “Apparently, they found the spot they were looking for in New York and planned the big day for the weekend of July 4, Swift’s favorite holiday for throwing a big star-studded party.”
According to Us Weekly, the plan is for Kelce and Swift to have around 150 people at their wedding. “The guest list grew, so the ceremony and private gatherings associated with the wedding,” an insider told Us Weekly. “Taylor always has a plan B and C for every scenario. They feel confident hosting it there. The entire area will be very private and guarded.” There’ll be several stars in attendance to show their support for Swift, including Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Zoe Kravitz and Emma Stone. As for Kelce, he’s expected to have Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and a few other teammates by his side.
