Someone else said: ‘Me too! Her first VMA look tonight had me thinking she was sexy for the first time ever!’

All eyes were on Taylor at the VMAs as she oozed confidence in the Dior Resort 2025 ensemble, with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry including 30 carat pear-shaped canary yellow diamond earrings surrounded by black jade.

Taylor, who was the winner of the night with seven gongs, looked incredible in the edgy Dior look, showcasing her statuesque frame.

The 14-time Grammy award winning singer – who is in a relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce – wowed in the plaid dress with the open centre – revealing her tiny thigh-grazing shorts beneath.

The corset style dress displayed her curves and the star added lace up gloves that went up to her shoulders, finishing up the look with leather boots.

Taylor has changed her look drastically throughout the years, as well as her music, going from country music star to global pop sensation.

Each music era has shown a new side of her, a new sound, and a new look, she keeps reinventing herself.

Swift smartly pointed out in her 2020 documentary Miss Americana, reinvention is something she has to do to stay relevant.

‘Female artists have to reinvent themselves so many more times than male artists, or else you’re out of a job,’ she said.

‘Live out a narrative that we find interesting enough to entertain us, but not so crazy that it makes us uncomfortable.’

Taylor was one of the first signings to country music label Big Machine Records. She entered into the limelight looking fresh faced and unrefined with long blonde curly hair, mini dresses and cowboy boots.

Her girl-next-door appearance was made complete with barely there makeup and her untamed locks.

The star embraced (and mastered!) the retro chic look in striped nautical prints, collared dresses, high-waisted bottoms, bowler hats and ladylike framed handbags.

Taylor had predominantly been a country artist that dabbled in pop until 2014 with her fifth studio album, ‘1989.’

With her album ‘Reputation’ came a new look for the 29 year old in 2018. She went back to her natural blonde hair but held on to her edgy ensembles.

At the American Music Awards she donned a head-to-toe mirrored Balmain look, complete with thigh-high boots and rectangular earrings.

She put her once preferred retro aesthetic to rest off the carpet, too, in favor of more casual garb.

For the very special occasion she performed a career-spanning medley of hits including ‘Love Story,’ ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ and ‘Shake It Off.’
