Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s recent PR blitz is a desperate bid to move on, experts have said. Both the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have made public appearances as of late – particularly in the past month.

These include Meghan’s virtual appearance to open a new wing in an animal charity in London and Harry’s appearance at the NFL Awards – just hours after returning from a very-short visit in the UK.

The couple also launched their new website – – on February 12. Since the launch, Harry and Meghan have accused of trying to be “more royal” despite stepping down as senior working royals four years ago.

According to the MailOnline, royal writer Phil Dampier spoke of Harry and Meghan’s recent appearances.

He said: “Their recent appearances are clearly part of a PR blitz but I’m not sure it’s working for them long term.

“They need to nail down some hardcore issues, both commercially and to do good, and concentrate on those.”

Also speaking to the publication, PR expert Nick Ede said that Harry and Meghan “need to move on” for their constant toxic revelations about the Royal Family.

Stating that the couple need to look ahead to the future, he added: “They will be wanting to be careful to not reflect on the past but to look at a clear future with a path towards building them away from ridicule and building themselves as humanitarians, producers and campaigners.”

Their new website will be used to keep fans updated with the couple’s work and projects, as well as any personal updates.

Speaking of the future, Mr Ede added: “I think they have a window and 2024 is that window where they develop their personal brands and Archewell as a brand in itself too.

“This is a crucial time for them to become the brand that they want to be and step up and out of the shadows of the previous years.”

Continuing, Mr Dampier also added: “There’s no doubt Harry and Meghan need to improve their image and their PR people seem to be working overtime at the moment.

“Their popularity has plummeted both in the US and UK and they must realise they have an uphill struggle to regain respect and trust, both from the Royal Family and the public.”
