Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s marital woes started as recently their honeymoon it has recently been claimed amid their divorce drama.
The 55-year-old Delola founder and 52-year-old Oscar-winner – who was recently seen smoking a cigarette – were off to a rocky star as it has been said that Ben was unhappy with the publicity circus surrounding their new union during the summer of 2022.
A source told PageSix: ‘When they weren’t in front of the cameras. They would barely speak to each other during what was supposed to be the happiest time of their life.
‘He sold her on him being a changed man, and that lasted a very short time.’
Lopez’s representative declined to respond to DailyMail.com’s request for comment. DailyMail.com has yet to hear back from Affleck’s representatives.
They also claimed that Ben – who has publicly battled with his sobriety – ‘started craving more privacy, and he could no longer take Lopez’s level of celebrity.
They added: ‘He doesn’t want [the entourage] and all the drama that comes with that in his home,” the source said.
Affleck looked stony-faced as he arrived at his new $20million mansion in LA – just hours after J-lo filed for divorce.
The newly-single star failed to raise a smile as he drove with son Samuel, 12, and child Fin, 16, on Tuesday evening – shortly after it emerged J-Lo, 55, had filed to split from him.
His pensive expression was a far cry from his giddy arrival back into LA earlier in the day – after dropping daughter Violet off at college.
The Academy Award winner closed escrow on a new $20.5 million estate in Pacific Palisades last month – two months after his split from Lopez.
The home has five bedrooms and six bathrooms with breakfast and dining areas, as well as a separate family room, den, walk-in closets, media room, powder room, guest house and more amenities typical of a multi-million dollar house.
The This Is Me…Now artist and Affleck listed their Beverly Hills home for $68 million last month, after purchasing the estate for $60 million last May, but they didn’t find any immediate buyers.

But they called it quits in 2004, just before they were set to become husband and wife.
They both went on to wed other people – she exchanged vows with Mac Anthony in 2004, while he walked down the aisle with Jennifer Garner in 2005 – but after splitting from their respective partners, they eventually got back together.

During one part of the movie, Ben admitted that he was ‘taken aback’ when he found her musicians rifling through his private love letters which JLo had given them to look at as inspiration for her next album.
The actor had clung onto his correspondence with the singer during his 13-year marriage to Garner – and later had the letters and emails bound into a book to gift her when they reunited in 2021.
He told the camera: ‘Things that are private I always felt are sacred and special because, in part, they’re private.’.
Asked by Variety earlier this year whether she and Affleck would ever star in another movie together, Lopez said, ‘Maybe, in the right thing.’
‘I mean, we love working together and being together, so maybe,’ she added.
Ben was last seen on Tuesday morning with his ex wife Jennifer Garner and kid Fin. They were returning from taking their eldest child Violet, 18, to college.
Hours later Lopez filed for divorce. It was her two year wedding anniversary with him.
