The wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, 28, debuted a head of wavy auburn hair on Wednesday via Instagram.
In portraits taken by photographer Heather Smith, Brittany exuded confidence while tossing around her long fiery tresses for the camera.
Taking to her Instagram Story, she shared some BTS iPhone clips she’d taken during the photo-shoot.
The first showed Brittany, wearing gray sweats and full glam makeup, standing in front of a mirror with her three-year-old daughter Sterling.
The other was captured in selfie mode as Brittany waited patiently between takes in a skimpy black sports bra.
Though Brittany is thrilled with her new hair, the beauty was recently a blonde bombshell for her first-ever Sports Illustrated shoot.
These are the comments:
She announced that she’d be posing for the magazine’s 60th anniversary issue in February — just days before her husband and the Kansas City Chiefs went on to win the Super Bowl.
At the time, Britany shared a video of her posing on a beach in San Pedro, Belize with SI describing her as ‘unapologetically herself’ ahead of joining as a 2024 rookie for their May edition.
‘I’m truly just so humbled and still in disbelief,’ Mahomes told the publication.
‘As a girl from Tyler, Texas, who only really knew sports, never in a million years did I think I’d be in the SI Swimsuit Issue. I’m just so grateful for this opportunity.’
Last week, Brittany uploaded a sizzling behind-the-scenes snap from her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit shoot.
She put on a very busty display in a micro red hot bikini that highlighted her ample cleavage.
Brittany paired the look with a straw red cowboy hat as she showed off her sensational figure on a beach in a tropical location, with her blonde hair swaying in the wind.
She had re-shared the snap from SI’s account to her stories, writing, ‘si_swimsuit just started my day off spicy’ along with a heart-eye emoji and fire emoji.
It comes two years after Brittany seemingly responded to rumors that she’s had a breast enhancement.
Fans have speculated whether or not the star has undergone plastic surgery, and she has addressed the issue a number of times.
In June 2021, she shared photos of her in an orange bikini on a yacht, writing, ‘Haters will say they are fake, but breastfeeding moms will understand.’
The pair welcomed their first child, daughter Sterling, three, in February 2021. They went on to welcome son Patrick ‘Bronze’ Lavon Mahomes III, one, in November, 2022.
Brittany later admitted to getting work done in a 2023 Instagram Q&A, after she was asked what cosmetic procedure she loves the most.
She revealed, ‘filler in my lips.’
She also previously shared how weightlifting has helped shape her body.
While appearing on the ‘Shootin’ It with Soph’ podcast, she shared that weightlifting allowed her to build her glutes.
‘I used to have no butt at all. It was very small, and if you saw the before and after pictures, it’s so embarrassing,’ she said.
‘Anyone can get a butt. You just have to set your mind to it and know that that’s what you want to do.’
Mahomes has seen her fame spiral through becoming one of Taylor Swift’s ‘besties’ since the singer starting dating Travis Kelce, one of Mahomes’ teammates at the Chiefs.
The two often sat alongside each other for Chiefs games at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City – they have even celebrated touchdowns with their own handshakes.
And away from the sport that brought them together, they have often dined in New York near Swift’s Manhattan townhouse.
But Brittany is also well known for her work in soccer. She is also a former player through her time at the University of Texas at Tyler and spent time at a team in Iceland in 2017.
She retired in 2017 and started her own workout brand, but she is also a part-owner and founder of the women’s NWSL team Kansas City Current – which Patrick also owns a stake in.
The team are opening their own purpose-build women’s soccer stadium in March, a landmark moment.
‘These women deserve to feel important and have their own facility so that they can perform at their best,’ Brittany said.
‘I hope this sets the bar for women’s sports everywhere and other cities continue to build around women’s sports. Just like young boys get to dream of playing football at stadiums like Arrowhead, I want young girls everywhere to aspire to play at stadiums like CPKC.’
