Fans rip into Taylor Swift’s Eagles-fan dad for choosing Travis Kelce over his beloved Philly and her gives an obvious reason why: ‘Unbelievable, This is betrayal’

Taylor Swift’s dad Scott has sparked controversy after arriving for Sunday’s Chiefs-Bills game in a Kansas City jacket – while his beloved Eagles play over in Philadelphia.

Scott, a lifelong Philadelphia Eagles fan, is in Kansas City this weekend to support his daughter’s boyfriend Travis Kelce in the Chiefs’ AFC Championship game against the Buffalo Bills.

Yet as he cheers on the back-to-back Super Bowl champions, the Eagles are taking on the Washington Commanders just over 1,000 miles away in Philly.

After he arrived at Arrowhead on Sunday, fans were quick to hit out at Scott, 72, on social media for choosing Travis over the team he has supported all his life in the NFC Championship game.

One wrote on X: ‘Unbelievable. The birds are playing & her dad is rocking KC gear.’

‘Scott Swift, if he ever supported the Eagles, doesn’t even remember it anymore,’ concluded another.

A third joked: ‘Someone: Scott eagles are playing – Scott: who?’

‘He has completely forgotten abt that team,’ said a fourth.

While another commented: ‘Scott’s like yeah that’s cool haven’t thought about them [Eagles] in two years’.

Scott has worn Chiefs gear to Kelce’s games for Kansas City on frequent occasions in the past 18 months, including at last year’s Super Bowl in Las Vegas.

On a 2024 episode of their New Heights podcast, Travis’ brother and Eagles legend Jason poked fun at Swift’s dad for wearing a Chiefs sweater during a game against the New England Patriots.

Jason said: ‘No, it looks good on him. I think his complexion really suits green more, if I don’t say so myself.

‘It’s a nice sweater, I’m not going to lie. It’s the wrong team but it is a nice sweater.’

On that same November 15 episode, Jason made a plea to Scott to stick with the Eagles.

You’re gonna let this man’s devilishly good looks and relationship with your daughter sway you from a life of fandom, Scott?’ Jason joked, in reference to his younger brother. ‘This is ridiculous.’

Taylor entered Arrowhead Stadium for Sunday’s alongside her brother, Austin Swift, and mom Andrea as well as dad Scott.

She wore red tights in a tribute to Kansas City’s colors as well as a black skirt, a $5,000 black jacket, black boots, and a $550 Louis Vuitton beanie. Swift matched the outfit with a $2,850 Louis Vuitton chain wallet.

Swift was also seen sending a cheeky message to Chiefs fans when entering the stadium by blowing a kiss.

Kansas City enters today with an 18-3 overall record with Swift in attendance.
