It’s a love story that could actually be a Hollywood rom-com: Here is the second part of the Timeline of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Relationship “Part Three”.

 

November 2023

November 1
Kelce offers his thoughts on all the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce costumes on his New Heights podcast. “It was cool,” Kelce said simply.

 

November 3
On Friday, November 3, Kelce was interviewed during a press conference ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs’ overseas game in Germany. He was asked about his “status” with the singer.

“The latest status is I got to see her last week,” he said. “That’s the latest status right there.”

Another asked if he’s “in love” with the musical artist, to which Kelce replied, “I’m going to keep my personal relationship personal.”

As a follow-up, the crowd wanted to know if Swift would attend the Chiefs game against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, November 5, but he played coy again.

“When I mention—or everyone knows—she’s at the game, the Vegas [line] and over-under on my catches goes up and down,” Kelce joked. “The spread goes up and down. So I don’t want to mess with any of that stuff…I’m just going to keep that to myself.”

 

November 8
Swift lands in Argentina ahead of her first Buenos Aires show there on Thursday. Kelce isn’t with her.

Kelce speaks on his podcast New Heights about his bye week plans the same day. He gives mixed messaging, saying football is his focus, but there is a chance he could travel.

Kelce started by saying he “never like[s] to plan things” on bye weeks. “You just don’t know how healthy you’re gonna be or how you’re gonna feel whether you’re winning or losing. I’m not trying to go and fucking be out and about if we’re out here losing.”

He added his primary goal is to “get as healthy as possible going into arguably the biggest game … on the schedule [against the Philadelphia Eagles]. I definitely got the future in mind and got to get this body right.”

But he could also escape to somewhere warmer: “I might just say ‘fuck it’ and just go somewhere nice, I don’t know. My skin’s getting real pale. I gotta go somewhere sunny.”

His brother asked if that place was south, in part to see if Kelce would admit any Argentina. travel plans. “Somewhere south…” Kelce agreed. “Closer to the equator.”

He shares no more than that during the podcast or after.

 

November 10
Kelce flew to Argentina to meet Swift in Buenos Aires for her Friday night concert, but inclement weather postponed the show to Sunday. The couple ended up going to a steakhouse together along with Swift’s father, Scott Kingsley Swift. They were seen leaving the restaurant holding hands.

 

November 11
Swift sang to Kelce the next night, changing the lyrics of her song “Karma” to reference Kelce. During the song, Swift sang, “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me.”

In a video, Kelce was filmed smiling in delighted surprise then covering his face with his hands before throwing them up in acknowledgment.

And then, right after her show ended, Swift ran into Kelce’s arms and gave him a kiss.

 

November 13
A source speaks to Entertainment Tonight about how Kelce felt about Swift’s lyric change. The source started by saying that Kelce and Swift are very “excited and giddy” about their romance.

“They’re very into each other, and it is clear to everyone around them,” the source said. “They are both excited and giddy that they can’t even hide it, and don’t want to.”

As for Swift’s shoutout to Kelce on stage, the source said, “Travis loved the shoutout Taylor gave him at her show and it has been so nice for Taylor to have him there with her. Their family and friends are very happy for them and think they are great together.”

Gigi Hadid, meanwhile, hits back at tabloid reports that she and Selena Gomez do not approve of how fast Swift and Kelce’s relationship is moving. Hadid comments on Perez Hilton’s Instagram post that said, “Gigi Hadid ‘Doesn’t Agree With the Way’ Taylor Swift Is Handling Travis Kelce Romance!”

She shares, “I’m a couple days late to this tag.. but didn’t the press try this last week w Selena? Let it be.. we are all over the moon for our girl. Period. ❤️‍🔥”

 

November 14
A source reveals to Entertainment Tonight that Swift and Kelce plan to see each other during her two-month tour break following her South American shows.

“[They] had a great time together in Argentina and can’t wait until they see each other again,” the source said, adding that “Taylor has a two-month break in her tour, taking December and January off, and the couple is planning to spend more time together [then].”

“Taylor and Travis are on the same page and have a lot in common,” the source continued. “Both are extremely close to their families and share morals and views on a lot of things.”

 

November 15
Kelce speaks on New Heights about his visit to see Swift in Argentina. On Swift’s lyric change, Kelce said that he “had no clue” it was coming. “Well, I might have had a little bit of a clue,” he admitted. “But definitely when I heard it come out of her mouth it still shocked me. It blew me away. I was like, oh she really just said that.” He also revealed he met Swift’s dad Scott there.

Generally, Kelce aded, “For those of you who haven’t seen all the videos of me on your TikTok and your Instagram feed, I was enjoying myself down there in Buenos Aires, the show was even more electric knowing that I had a little bit more to enjoy [it] for. And yeah, Taylor absolutely ripped it, she killed it. And it looked like she was having some fun up there.”

On why he was willing to speak about the concert, he explained, “I do [want to keep my private life private]. But this is public knowledge. I can still keep that part private but this is public, yeah. I went down to Argentina, and it was a whole bunch of fun, man.”

Later that day, Entertainment Tonight reports that Swift and Kelce are planning to introduce their parents to each other at Monday, November 20’s Kansas City Chiefs versus Philadelphia Eagles game.

 

November 17
On November 17, Kelce gave a joking “shout out” to his girlfriend on his New Heights forputting him “on the map.”

The NFL star and his brother Jason were looking through some new fan art, one piece of which showed a drawing of Kelce wearing a shirt with his own face on top of a map of the United States.

It referenced an ongoing social media joke about how Kelce’s relationship with Swift “put him on the map,” though he was obviously well-known to football fans everywhere. Swifties on TikTok in particular were pranking the football obsessed men in their lives by insisting the pop icon made him famous.

“On the map,” Travis said as he read the shirt. “Putting, obviously, my face on the map…shout-out to Taylor.”

 

November 19
On Sunday, November 19, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes shared his thoughts on Swift during an interview with ESPN. When asked about how much added attention the Chiefs have been getting since the start of Kelce and Swift’s relationship, Mahomes replied, “I don’t think it feels any different.”

He went on, “People see the whole Taylor Swift and Travis, and they make it a huge deal, ’cause it is a huge deal. I think it becomes a bigger deal to the fan bases than the guys who are actually in the building.”

“I’ve been lucky enough to meet Taylor and see how good of a person she is,” he added. “I think you’d understand why it has not become a distraction or anything like that, because everybody cares about being the best they can be every day.”

Mahomes has not been able to catch one of Swift’s shows, but said, “We’ll see when we get to the off-season, maybe I’ll be traveling to Europe to go to a concert or something.”

 

November 20
Kelce’s interview with WSJ magazine comes out, where he speaks about Swift in detail.

On how they first met, someone on Swift’s team helped get his phone number to her. Kelce said of when he was at her Kansas City, Missouri show, “There were definitely people she knew that knew who I was, in her corner [who said]: ‘Yo! Did you know he was coming?’ I had somebody playing Cupid.”

Swift ended up contacting him to his surprise: “She told me exactly what was going on and how I got lucky enough to get her to reach out.”

For the first date, he said he wasn’t nervous: “When I met her in New York, we had already kind of been talking, so I knew we could have a nice dinner and, like, a conversation, and what goes from there will go from there.” His friends were more nervous than he was, he added: “Everybody around me telling me: ‘Don’t fuck this up!’ And me sitting here saying: ‘Yeah—got it.’”

Kelce revealed he was initially hesitant to talk about Swift in press interviews: “That was the biggest thing to me: make sure I don’t say anything that would push Taylor away.”

Now, he is more comfortable, calling her “hilarious” and “a genius.” They have similar views on family and work: “Everybody knows I’m a family guy,” he said. “Her team is her family. Her family does a lot of stuff in terms of the tour, the marketing, being around, so I think she has a lot of those values as well, which is right up my alley.”

He also admires Swift’s songwriting ability: “I’ve never been a man of words. Being around her, seeing how smart Taylor is, has been fucking mind-blowing. I’m learning every day.”

He finally addressed the attention that comes with dating her: “Obviously I’ve never dated anyone with that kind of aura about them…. I’ve never dealt with it. But at the same time, I’m not running away from any of it…. The scrutiny she gets, how much she has a magnifying glass on her, every single day, paparazzi outside her house, outside every restaurant she goes to, after every flight she gets off, and she’s just living, enjoying life. When she acts like that I better not be the one acting all strange.”

Later on Monday, Kelce gives another brief update at his game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Swift does not attend, as she is performing in Brazil after postponing Saturday’s concert. Her parents don’t attend either despite previous plans to meet Kelce’s parents there.

Per The Messenger, Kelce spoke about his relationship with Swift briefly to ESPN reporter Lisa Salters during the game’s third quarter. He said, “We’re having a great time. We’re both happy and enjoying life.”

 

November 27
A source tells Us Weekly that Swift flew from Brazil back to Kansas City to be with Kelce after finishing her shows in South America. She landed in Missouri Monday afternoon.

 

November 29
Kelce lets his nickname for Swift slip out on New Heights when discussing Swift liking a Chiefs Instagram about him setting a record the day before.

“Thanks, Tay. I appreciate you on the Chiefs page supporting,” he said. His brother asked whether Swift followed tight end stats before, and Kelce responded, “I don’t know if she’s a tight end fan or not. I’ll have to ask her.”

That same day, a source tells Entertainment Tonight that Swift will be spending more time at Kelce’s house during her tour break. “Things between Travis and Taylor are going really well,” the source explained. “Their relationship is progressing in a great way. Taylor is planning to spend a lot more time at Travis’ house in Kansas City while she is on a break from touring.”

“They’re both very excited to be together, and Travis is making sure that Taylor feels comfortable and at home,” the source added. “They have mutual respect and admiration for one another, and their feelings for each other are sincere.”

 

November 30
Swift flies from Kansas City to London on Wednesday evening to attend Beyoncé’s Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé premiere on Thursday. Swift appears solo on the red carpet in a silver Balmain dress.

Reports says that Swift left England on her private jet shortly after the premiere.

December 3
Swift attends Kelce’s game against the Green Bay Packers in Wisconsin. Fans speculate she revealed her nickname for him while cheering for him in footage posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. She appeared to say, “Come on, Trav!”

December 6
Swift gives her first interview in years to Time magazine, where she discusses Kelce for the first time and reveals their romance’s true timeline. She reveals they were a full-fledged couple already by the time she attended his first game, and they started dating shortly after he tried and failed to give her a friendship bracelet at her July Kansas City Eras tour show.

“This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” she told Time. “We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other. By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”

She also seemed to compare their “public” relationship to her last more private one with Joe Alwyn: “When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” she said. “The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”

She addressed her attendance at his NFL games, saying she is not seeking attention there purposely: “I don’t know how they know what suite I’m in. There’s a camera, like, a half-mile away, and you don’t know where it is, and you have no idea when the-camera is putting you in the broadcast, so I don’t know if I’m being shown 17 times or once.”

“I’m just there to support Travis. I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads,” she continued.

She said of the sport generally, “Football is awesome, it turns out. I’ve been missing out my whole life.”

Swift attends Kelce’s Buffalo Bills game. A photo of them holding hands after comes out.

The couple attends a party for the Chiefs at a Christmas bar that day. Kelce’s barber Patrick Regan shares a photo of Swift kissing Kelce’s cheek there. Later, a photo of the couple kissing on the lips also surfaces on social media.

 

December 11
Multiple sources tell Us Weekly that Kelce is planning Swift a 34th birthday party in New York City. “[He] wants to throw the best party possible [for her]. Money is not an object,” one source said.

 

December 12
Swift flies back to New York City from Kansas City, Missouri, and goes out with Selena Gomez and friends that evening. Kelce is seen arriving at his home after her plane takes off.

 

December 13
Kelce gives Swift a little shoutout on New Heights when discussing sales of his brother’s jersey skyrocketing in the U.K. His brother Jason theorized the sale boost was because the Swifties there confused him for Kelce.

“Maybe don’t watch football,” Jason suggested, adding, “they’re like, ‘I heard this Kelce guy dates Taylor Swift.’”

Kelce suggested it was instead because they were fans of Jason’s wife Kylie. He then said, “Shout-out to Taylor, shout-out to Kylie. Thank you, guys.”

Swift goes out in New York City to celebrate her birthday with friends. Kelce is unable to attend due to football practice.

Later, Swift’s friend Keleigh Sperry sparks rumors Kelce gave Swift the giant opal and topaz ring she wore in photos from her birthday party. Opal is Kelce’s birth stone, while blue topaz is Swift’s.

 

December 16
Page Six reports that Kelce could be proposing, saying a source close to Kelce claimed, “Scott has been asked for his blessing and has wholeheartedly given it, and Travis has been talking to friends about a ring.”

A source shuts down that notion two days later to The Messenger. “There are no plans for an engagement anytime soon,” the source said. “There is no engagement at this time.”

 

December 17
Swift attends Kelce’s game against the New England Patriots. She appears unfazed by the some Patriot fans booing at her when she was on the Jumbotron (she was in Chiefs gear) and wears a hat with Kelce’s jersey number on it.

 

December 19
Page Six reports that Kelce and Swift will be spending Christmas and New Year’s Eve together in Kansas City, Missouri, as Kelce has games that day.

 

December 20
Kelce speaks on New Heights about Swift attending his Patriots game and tactfully addressing the booing moment.

“I’ll say this: They showed Taylor at the game,” he began. “You don’t see an entire home team fan base go insane for somebody wearing the opposite team’s colors. Just shows you how amazing that girl is. They went absolutely insane when they showed Taylor on the screen, yes.”

Then Kelce touched on the critics: “There might have been a few Brads and Chads that were booing. But for the most part, everyone was fucking screaming their tail off for her. And I was trying to keep it cool: I was like, ‘Don’t show your cards, don’t show your cards.’ It was fun, man. So shoutout to the Patriots, New England. She’s on record saying that that stadium is one of the funnest that she’s played at so for them to show her is just them showing her some love, so shoutout to the Patriots for doing that.”

 

December 21
A source told US Weekly that Kelce and Swift have “only been dating for a few months,” however “they’ve had plenty of really deep conversations about their future together.”

They have been making “as much time for each other as possible” according to the insider.

“When they can’t physically be together, they are constantly texting, calling, and FaceTiming,” the source added. “Taylor’s relationship with Travis is like nothing she’s ever experienced before. They got serious fairly quickly and she was proud to show off their relationship from the jump.”

A second source supported this idea, stating, “Travis and Taylor have been taking things day by day because his schedule is dependent on the season, but the plan is always to see each other as much as they can.”

The source says they even have discussed engagement. The first source also claimed that Swift’s friends “couldn’t be happier” about the new romance, because Kelce’s “love is the real deal.”

The couple’s families have also met and “get along great,” the second insider said. They continued, “Taylor and Travis make each other so happy so their families and friends are very supportive of their relationship and of them spending as much time together as possible.”

And they said that when football season is over, Kelce “plans to go out and meet Taylor on tour as much as he can.”

On CBS Mornings Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes gave an interview that touched on his teammate Travis Kelce’s relationship with Swift and the attention his team has been receiving since they started dating.

“At first, I feel like everybody kind of stayed away, just let him do what he was doing,” said Mahomes. “And then he started bringing Taylor around and he realized how cool of a person she was, and she is. For us, there were a couple of jokes here and there at the beginning, but now she’s just part of Chiefs Kingdom now. She’s part of the team.”
