KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WDAF) — While Patrick and Brittany Mahomes welcomed their third child, Golden Raye, on Jan. 12, another Kansas City Chiefs star is a first-time dad.
Chiefs safety Justin Reid shared a photo of him with his new daughter yesterday on Instagram. Reid also spoke on the birth of his daughter in a news conference on Wednesday.
“Yeah, it was a busy weekend for me. I got to have my baby girl, which is probably the highlight, even better than the Divisional win,” Reid said.
“But when I got to go over to the birth center and saw her born, I didn’t feel anything except love and just so much happiness holding her.”
The birth of Reid’s daughter comes after his girlfriend, Marissa Rand, revealed her pregnancy at a Chiefs game back in October. Rand held up a sign at the game that read, “Justin I’m pregnant.”
