Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs have posed in their Super Bowl jerseys for the first time ahead of Sunday’s big game.

Chiefs VS 49ers

The Chiefs landed in Las Vegas on Sunday night ahead of a busy week of preparation before they take on the San Francisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium.

The Chiefs are aiming to win back-to-back Super Bowls and are making their fourth appearance in five years.

Andy Reid’s team took time out of their busy schedule to pose for the official pre-game pictures with Kelce, Patrick Mahomes and an array of other stars all featuring.

In his, Kelce can be seen rubbing his hands together and smirking as he plots the 49ers’ downfall.

Kelce will no doubt be confident of continuing his fine form in the playoffs, after he scored in the AFC Championship game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Patrick Mahomes looks more serious in his photo, posing as though he’s about to throw one of his trademark passes.

It has not been the smoothest preparation for Mahomes so far.

The quarterback’s father, 53, was arrested by the Tyler Police Department on at least his third DWI on Saturday night in Texas.

He is being held on a $10,000 bond. Mahomes Sr., who is a 6’4 former professional baseball pitcher, is currently in custody at the Smith County Jail.

Mahomes Sr. has been arrested a total of six times for driving while intoxicated, according to public booking records – twice in 2012, twice in 2018, once in 2019, and now once in 2024.

On his DWI charge in 2018, he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 40 days in county jail on weekends during 2019 and 2020.

After two DWI convictions in Texas, the third DWI offense is classed as a third degree felony. The maximum fine is $10,000, and the maximum prison sentence is 10 years in a Texas Department of Criminal Justice penitentiary.

Also featuring in the collection of pictures was star running back Isiah Pacheco, who is set to play in his second Super Bowl in just two years as a professional player. Kicker Harrison Butker also posed.

Then there were defensive stars Chris Jones, Justin Reid and L’Jarius Sneed, who will have a tough afternoon in store as they attempt to shut down the 49ers’ star-studded offense.

The Chiefs and 49ers will officially kick off the festivities on Monday night at Allegiant Stadium when they meet with thousands of media members from across the globe.

The event is open to fans who purchased tickers and it’ll be the first and only public appearance this week for every player and coach from the two teams.

They’ll field questions ranging from serious to silly. They’ll be asked to discuss personal topics and to participate in goofy skits.

‘It’s exciting. It’s all exciting stuff,’ Kelce said.

‘It builds and sets the tone for the whole week. It’s the biggest stage in the world.

‘Monday night is going to be where it starts for everybody. At this point, I just love it, it’s an exciting time.

‘It’s a once-in-a-lifetime type of thing that I’ve been able to enjoy a few times.’
