Ariana Grande’s reaction to an interviewer explaining he not only met his friends – but also his partner – on an Ariana fan forum has gone viral, with users pointing out the star looked stunned.
The clip shows the reporter gushing over the 31-year-old actress at a Wicked premiere in Los Angeles in November 2024.
‘Ariana, personally 95 percent of my friends met each other – found each other – [on the forum,’ the reporter says.
‘I’m in a relationship because of it,’ he continued. ‘Through your fandom.’

Ariana, whilst briefly taken aback, recovers quickly, telling the reporter that “that’s the most beautiful thing’ she’s ever heard ‘in her life.’
‘I have met some of my dearest friends through being fans, and made real friends through it too,’ the pop star told the reporter.
‘It’s such a beautiful thing that pop music, pop culture, these films and art that we create can create a safe space for people who feel like they don’t belong,’ she concluded.
While her response was sweet, users couldn’t help but point out her stunned expression told a different story.
Many users pinpointed the moment she visibly looked uncomfortable, while the reporter was talking.
‘Yeah see that expression and what she actually said aren’t matching up,’ one user wrote.
‘That’s either a look of being deeply humbled or utterly terrified,’ added another.
‘She’s absolutely thinking “these mfers need a life,”‘ joked another.
‘I am crying she knows she has the worst fandom ever,’ said someone else.

It’s not the first time the actress has spoken about her fans, admitting she had a complicated relationship with them.
In September, in a lie detector test for Vanity Fair, Ariana addressed her relationship with fans when asked if she loved them.
‘I love them always, but I think sometimes they can hurt my feelings,’ she said in an interview with the publication.
‘Sometimes I don’t like them, but I love them always. Does that make sense?’
She continued, adding, ‘It’s a hard relationship, I think. It’s sort of weirdly parasocial, but it feels very real to me, so sometimes it’s hard, but I love them very much.’
Earlier in the week, Ariana’s fans were left furious after the actress awkwardly forgot about her six years on Nickelodeon.
The uncomfortable moment occurred when the singer was participating in a Q&A in Los Angeles, California, while promoting the upcoming movie adaptation of the Broadway musical Wicked alongside her costars on Sunday.
The stars were asked to reflect on their first acting gigs – and Ariana claimed that the 2021 Netflix film Don’t Look Up was her big break into the industry.
She failed to mention her time in the Nickelodeon series Victorious and its spin-off Sam & Cat – the shows which helped launch her career when she was only a teen.
Moments later, Ariana realized her mistake and interrupted director Jon Chu’s answer to apologize, and she confessed that she had totally ‘forgotten’ about those years of her life.
A clip of the interaction was uploaded to TikTok, where it quickly went viral, and many of her longtime supporters were not pleased.
