I’m divorcing my husband after he booed Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl. I told him to publicly apologize to Taylor, but he refused – so I’m done. I’m not changing my mind: He’s a boy, not a man

A woman has claimed she is divorcing her husband because she witnessed him taking part in the brutal booing of Taylor Swift at Super Bowl LIX earlier this month.

Louisa Melcher took to Instagram and TikTok on Tuesday to share a video of herself sitting in her car after apparently filing paperwork to end her marriage at her local courthouse.

Speaking to the camera, the brunette told her 57,400 followers: ‘I’m divorcing my husband because he booed Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl, and I still don’t think he believes me.

‘To be honest, but he might want to start because I just filed my paperwork at the courthouse, and you can see right here the date of separation is this year’s Super Bowl.’

Louisa continued: ‘I’m not just doing this because of the action of booing, I am doing this because of everything that it represents in our relationship.

‘I have loved Taylor Alison Swift since I was 12 years old. My husband even likes her too, like he’ll put on her music when we’re cooking together, he has a favorite song, it’s Girl at Home.

‘But we were at the Super Bowl, it was me, him and five of his buddies and when they put Taylor up on the Jumbotron, all of his buddies started booing and my husband joined in.’

She then said: ‘And that just tells me everything I need to know about that man because he didn’t care that that would hurt my feelings.

‘He just wanted to fit in with his boys, he didn’t even care that that’s not even how he actually feels. He just like wanted to look cool, I guess. And that’s not a man, that’s a boy, and when you see that, you can’t really un see it, so I’m divorcing him.’

She then added: ‘Thankfully, I have a prenup. I’ll be retaining all of my assets as well as the assets I inherited with peace and love.

‘He probably will not be returning to the Super Bowl anytime soon, so that’s one less booer for you. Taylor, I love you.’

Social media users were quick to comment on the video – although not everyone believed that it was genuine.

Referring to Louisa’s profile, one person wrote: ‘I’m confused, I thought you have a boyfriend in LA and now you have a husband?’

Someone else replied and claimed, ‘Her entire account is just satire none of its real,’ but another person argued: ‘They got married it’s not satire.’

Over on Instagram, people claimed the husband in question was lucky to be free of Louisa as one person commented: ‘So happy for him.’

A second said: ‘Praying that he has a happy life without you,’ and a third added: ‘Good for your husband. He’ll be much better off without you in his life.’

Someone else wrote: ‘You doing him a favor. Imagine divorcing someone over your childish unreal love for a celebrity who has no idea who you are or that you exist.’

And more people suggested that the video was a joke as one said: ‘This is satire has to be.’

‘Alright this is pretty good satire ngl lmao,’ another person commented.

Taylor was left stunned on February 9 after being met with emphatic booing at the Caesars Superdome as she supported her boyfriend Travis Kelce, who plays for Kansas City Chiefs.

With the stadium seemingly boasting more Philadelphia Eagles fans, the pop star did not get a nice reception when cameras zoomed in on her before the game began.

The 35-year-old singer appeared to notice the booing, giving a mocking side-eye response as the noise mercilessly rang out around the packed stadium in New Orleans.
