Welcome to the Super Bowl that has the Swift and Kelce family divided… so who is everyone supporting tonight?

Family divided on who to support for Super Bowl

Travis Kelce is on the brink of making history with the Kansas City Chiefs as they aim for a third consecutive Super Bowl victory tonight. However, not everyone in his family is rooting for him.

The Chiefs have the chance to become the first team ever to win three straight Super Bowls, with the Philadelphia Eagles standing in their way. While a victory would be a career-defining moment for Kelce, some members of his own family—and even a few in Taylor Swift’s household—are backing the Eagles.

Taylor Swift will, of course, be at the Superdome cheering on her boyfriend. But with speculation that Kelce may retire regardless of the outcome, tensions are high on both sides.

Family divided on who to support for Super Bowl

So, where does the rest of the Kelce and Swift families’ loyalty lie tonight? Here’s a closer look at the divide.

Taylor Swift – Chiefs

There’s no doubt Swift will be supporting Kelce and the Chiefs, but doing so puts her in an awkward spot. A proud Philadelphia native, she has long been an Eagles fan.

In her 2020 song Gold Rush, she even sings: “I see me padding ’cross your wooden floors with my Eagles T-shirt hanging from the door.” While some speculated she was referring to the rock band, Swift later clarified: “I love the band the Eagles, but guys, like, come on… I’m from Philly. Of course, it’s the team.”

As recently as two weeks before meeting Kelce, she was spotted wearing Eagles gear. However, after being embraced as the Queen of Chiefs Kingdom, she’s now fully aligned with Kansas City.

Jason Kelce – Eagles

Though he retired nearly a year ago, Jason Kelce’s loyalty to the Eagles remains strong.

Speaking on the New Heights podcast with his brother, Jason explained:

“Obviously, you’re my brother. I always root for my brother. That’s the reality of it. But there are so many people in the Eagles organization—players, coaches, staff—who feel like extended family to me. I’m rooting for Philadelphia, and I’m rooting for Travis.”

Despite his love for his little brother, Jason admitted, “I’d be lying if I said I don’t want the Eagles to win.”

Kylie Kelce – Eagles

Like her husband Jason, Kylie Kelce is firmly in the Eagles’ camp. Over the years, she has become a die-hard Philadelphia fan, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t cheering for Travis, too.

“I am so happy and proud of Travis and the Chiefs’ accomplishments,” she said on her Not Gonna Lie podcast. “He has worked so hard, and I will always cheer for his success. But I was raised to bleed green. I have close ties to the Eagles organization and the Philadelphia community, so I’ll be cheering for them as well.”

Donna & Ed Kelce – Chiefs

During the famous Kelce Bowl two years ago, Donna Kelce made headlines for wearing a split Chiefs-Eagles jersey to support both her sons. But this year, with only Travis playing, there’s no divided loyalty.

Both Donna and ex-husband Ed will be fully supporting the Chiefs, with no need for half-and-half jerseys this time.

Scott & Andrea Swift – Unclear

Taylor Swift’s parents are the real wildcard.

Scott Swift was a lifelong Eagles fan—until his daughter started dating a Kansas City icon. Over the past two seasons, both Scott and Andrea have been spotted wearing Chiefs gear, including at last month’s AFC Championship Game, which they attended instead of watching the Eagles in the NFC title matchup.

Scott’s apparent shift in allegiance has sparked criticism from die-hard Eagles fans, and if he shows up at tonight’s game decked out in Chiefs red, it could cause even more outrage.

Travis, however, seems confident about where his future father-in-law stands.

“I know her father has always been an Eagles fan,” Kelce said earlier this week. “I’ll have to ask Scott himself, but I think he’ll be wearing red.”

A Family (and Fanbase) Divided

With the Kelce and Swift families split down the middle, emotions will be running high at Super Bowl LIX. While Taylor and Travis’ parents are in Kansas City’s corner, Jason and Kylie remain loyal to the Eagles.

No matter the outcome, one thing is certain—tonight’s game will be a rollercoaster for both families.
